This collection of rare television camera tubes is mostly from the collection of Philo Taylor Farnsworth, the inventor of electronic television. They were purchased or received as donations over the years by Phil Savenick from members of the Farnsworth family. Other tubes include a signed iconoscope by Vladimir Zworykin and a link to the camera collection of Bobby Ellerbee and his site eyesofageneration.com
1926 First electronic camera tube created by Philo T. Farnsworth in Los Angeles. (never actually worked)
1927 First working image dissector. Succesfully tested by Philo Farnsworth in San Francisco, September 7, 1927.
1928 First television camera to photograph a human. Blown by Cliff Garnder for Farnsworth. A flat end was needed for the lens to focus properly.
