About The History Of TV

Phil Savenick spent the first third of his life watching television, the second third creating television programming, and the final third interpreting and expressing the impacttelevision has had on us all.  During a 35 year career as a writer-producer of television specials, Phil became aware of the story of Philo T. Farnsworth, the farm boy who came up with the idea for TV at 14. Over the years, Phil met and was able to help several members of the Farnsworth family. Shockingly, some were on the verge of homelessness. It didn’t seem right, the great man overlooked by history, his family forgotten. In 2006, Phil took up the task of getting the story told and creating a place where young people can be inspired by the greatness of the past.

If one kid says, “maybe this crazy new idea of mine isn’t so crazy”  Then it will all be worth it.
