This film introduced the world to the new Philco Predicta- the most revolutionary television of its time. So far ahead of its time (1958) that the ad touts "It's just like 1965". When color TV came in a few years later, Predicta, Philco, and black & white television were dead.
From 1958-1960 Philco made a television style called the Predicta. With its swivel head and space age design it became an instant classic. Unfortunately, just as TV technology allowed for thinner black and white tubes, color television started catching on. As color improved Black and White sales tanked. Not long after Philco stopped production and went out of business.
